Gender Equality, Disability & Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Toolkit

The TEA platform is working to integrate a gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) lens into key decision-making and project activities, tracking results, and supporting a just and inclusive clean energy transition that leaves no one behind.

The GEDSI Toolkit and other training resources presented on this page are aimed at promoting and enabling socio-economic development, growth and poverty reduction, and supporting equal access to the benefits of modern, affordable and reliable energy. It was developed primarily with TEA platform partners in mind, though contains tools and guidance that can be valuable to others in the wider sector.

How it works

The Toolkit includes a Guide and Overview (PDF), also known as the Master Document. This document will serve as your primary guide and will reference other resources like tools and forms, which you will find on this page, available to download in Excel (e.g., the GEDSI risk matrix) and Word (e.g., the GEDSI Support Services checklist) formats. These resources are designed for you to complete and adapt for your projects and programmes. Feel free to duplicate, complete, and modify the Excel and Word documents as needed.

Who is the toolkit for?

The toolkit was developed primarily with TEA platform partners in mind, though contains tools and guidance that can be valuable to others in the wider sector. Users should select tools according to their business stage, size and applicability to their GEDSI and business aspirations.

How to navigate the toolkit?

The toolkit has been structured into two tiers to support your journey with GEDSI: the first will help you get started, while the second will enable you to take your knowledge and understanding of GEDSI to the next level.

Get started by completing the operational framework tool. You can then complete any or all of the following essential tools to set your organisation up for success in your GEDSI journey.
