The TEA Disability Inclusion and Innovation for Energy Access training series provides TEA partners with knowledge on the unique barriers, needs, and opportunities for disability-inclusive energy access. It also offers practical guidance for delivering targeted disability inclusion strategies as part of their GEDSI actions.
The six modules from the training support TEA partners to:
- Learn the basic drivers of disability inclusion and why disability inclusion is good for business and development.
- Explore the intersection of disability innovation and energy access innovation.
- Apply inclusive design principles and approaches to designing and delivering energy access interventions.
- Adopt inclusive language and accessible communication tools.
- Situate disability inclusion programmatically and identify relevant entry points for pilot interventions.
- Understand how local technology and manufacturing could foster inclusion.
