Gender Equality, Disability & Social Inclusion (GEDSI)

The TEA platform is working to integrate a gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) lens into key decision-making and project activities, tracking results, and supporting a just and inclusive clean energy transition that leaves no one behind.

Integrating a GEDSI lens into the work carried out by the different partners within the TEA platform will support and improve the understanding of how best to achieve gender equality and social inclusion at scale, and to raise awareness of these issues and needs. The GEDSI Toolkit and other training resources presented on this page are aimed at promoting and enabling socio-economic development, growth and poverty reduction, and supporting equal access to the benefits of modern, affordable and reliable energy within the programmes and projects supported by the platform.

It is strongly recommend to utilise these resources to deepen your understanding of GEDSI and its importance, as all TEA partners are highly encouraged to integrate GEDSI considerations into programme and project work, as in some cases, it can support meeting the TEA platform reporting requirements such as risk mitigation, safeguarding, and procurement.
