Local partners, despite understanding the energy access markets within their local contexts, often cannot scale due to a lack of meaningful financing. These local partners often face significant barriers when seeking grant financing, including a rigorous application process exacerbated by limited organisational capacity to submit high-quality proposals. To support local partners and bridge this funding access gap, the Transforming Energy Access (TEA) programme, through the Local Partnership Inclusion (LPI) support services, established the technical assistance facility to provide tailored pre-application support to 22 local partners submitting grant proposals to TEA open calls.
